Drexel University’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design and the Department of Performing Arts will present a special night for jazz lovers.

The eighth edition of Jazz Extravaganza titled, “Scatting the Blues Away” will feature the Spelman College Jazz Ensemble and the Drexel University Jazz Orchestra. The Ensemble, from the women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia, is directed by Professor Josephs Jennings and will feature the music of Sarah Vaughn, Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, John Coltrane, Jon Hendricks, and Herbie Hancock. The Drexel University Jazz Orchestra, directed by Dr. George Starks, will perform the music of Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Horace Silver, Milt Jackson.
