Javanese and Balinese Music and Dance February 11, 2012

Balinese dancers from the Indonesian embassy will join Richmond’s own Gamelan Raga Kusuma to perform ancient and contemporary Balinese female temple dances and music from the Balinese shadow play. Peni Candra Rini, supported by American musicians, will present rare (Richmond’s first?) performances of Solonese court music from the original land of coffee.
