Japonize Elephants September 15, 2006

Japonize Elephants are a very eclectic ensemble, utilizing flute, accordion, pots and pans and three-part harmony. A Particularly Vicious Rumor has been described as "music to drown children by." But their sound is far from hopeless. This 9th Ward duo plays piano and drums exclusively. Miss O's rich voice and strong left hand provide a hypnotic, percussive compliment to Kid Twist's (drummer for ERF as well) melodic, danceable rhythms. Their lyrics explore both the loss of intimacy and the desire for movement and change.
