Japanther: Two guys, bass, drums, tapes falling over anthemic awesomeness. The best and most positive dance band in New York. Soulful hip hop hardcore drumming and crazy samples and drum machine beats on old cassettes make for amazing singing alongs. Japanther make the type of music that dares people to stand still. Poppy surf-punk numbers mixed with comedy and performance. Dandi Wind are the Montreal-based electro-dance duo of singer Dandelion Wind Opaine and multi-instrumentalist Szam Findlay. Opaine is an art school kid with a background in dance and performance art, while Findlay is openly worshipful of the previous generation of Vancouver industrial dance mavens, Skinny Puppy. Findlay's retro-cool goth-dance beats and Opaine's loopy vocal style got the duo signed to the Vancouver label Bongo Beat Records, which released Dandi Wind's debut EP.
