January 2012 will greet the release of Janet Feder’s new solo project Songs With Words. Deeply layered, textured and intimate, the recording features her signature prepared guitar compositions accompanying her voice. The Denver release concert at The Mercury Cafe on January 25 includes bandmates Amy Shelley/percussion, Chanin Floyd/bass, Colin Bricker/laptop, Paul Fowler/voice, and Gary Grundei/piano. George Inai opens the performance, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The recording will be available on the hybrid SACD format (the compact disc plays in either 5.1 surround or stereo, depending on the listener’s playback system) and also a signed, limited edition on 180 gram vinyl (which will also include a high resolution data file of the stereo version).
