Monday, Nov. 17 — “Recovered Voices”
Brandeis University welcomes award-winning conductor James Conlon to campus for a public lecture discussing the music of Jewish composers silenced by the Holocaust. Conlon is currently the music director of the Los Angeles Opera and he has served as principal conductor of the Paris National Opera as well as appeared with every major North American and European orchestra and opera company. His mission has been to restore to prominence a “lost generation” of 20th century composers. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, in the Faculty Center at Brandeis University, 415 South St., Waltham, Mass. Admission is free. RSVP suggested.
