Jacob Lawrence: Re-Presenting the Migration July 1, 2008

This exhibition presents paintings by Jacob Lawrence, made by applying the same color across multiple panels to ensure a high degree of visual consistency. The series depicts both the prevailing hardships of the south and the new hardships of the north that includes crowded living conditions and competition for jobs.
