Khaled Abu Toameh is an award-winning Israeli-Arab journalist who has reported on the West Bank and Gaza Strip for more than 20 years. He began his career writing for the PLO but left to pursue journalistic freedom. He has since worked for dozens of news outlets, is a senior Correspondent for the Jerusalem Post and also reports for NBC News and European news outlets. He has an insider's view having worked for the Palestinian Authority under Arafat and Abbas and his knowledge of Arabic, Hebrew and English, rare for a journalist covering the area.
He will discuss the current situation (he unveiled the PA's attempted deception in burning candles when Israel cut back on electricity in Gaza a few weeks ago during a press conference. The deception was that it was daylight outside.) He will address the recent Fatah/Hamas truce, journalistic freedom under the PA, the workings of the foreign press corps, being an Arab citizen of Israel, the US' role in negotiations, the aftermath of Annapolis, among many other topics.

Free of charge.
