What happened at Harpers Ferry that fueled the American Civil War? How and why did John Brown's plan at Harpers Ferry fail and why is it that the Marines were the means to its end? Using period photos, lithographs and scenes from the 150th Anniversary event held at Harpers Ferry, author and historian, Larry Bopp, takes you on a historic journey that all began and ended with the railroad. This event is made possible through the support of the Maryland Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
