Come out to the pier to enjoy a day of great Irish dancing...for FREE!

The Irish Arts Center NYC Dance Festival will once again kick off the "Summer on the Hudson" series at Riverside Park South. This celebration of Irish dance and culture is not to be missed, featuring performances from top Irish dance companies from New York and around the country, dance workshops for children and adults, music sessions, Irish language classes, a singing circle, children’s face painting and a lively evening-ending céilí for all!

Bring your dancing shoes—the entire day is free and open to all!

Confirmed participants for 2011 include- Darrah Carr Dance; Donny Golden Dancers; Niall O'Leary Irish Dance Troupe; Peter Smith School of Irish Dance; the Keltic Dreams Irish Dance Troupe from PS 59 in the Bronx; Jason Oremus; Garrett Coleman; Chris Naish and Niall O'Leary School of Irish Dance.
This year’s festival, led by artistic director Niall O’Leary, features a “sneak peak” preview Hammerstep, the new show from ex-Riverdancers which fuses Irish step with tap and hip-hop, sound and light, as they reinvent the dance show experience.
