Host: The Heritage Foundation. From May to December 2003, Ambassador Tom C. Korologos served as a Senior Counselor to Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, Administrator, Office of Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) in Baghdad and in the Defense Department, Washington, DC. During his tour, Ambassador Korologos was responsible for all CPA Congressional affairs and played a key role in passage of the President’s Iraq reconstruction budget request. From July 2004 through February 2007, he served as the 29th United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium.

Ambassador Korologos has had a wide and varied Washington experience. He has served as a senior staff member in the U.S. Congress, as an assistant to two Presidents in the White House, as well as being a prominent businessman. In addition, he was a long-time member of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy and a charter member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors that has jurisdiction over all non-military U.S. Government radio and TV broadcasting overseas. Early in his career Ambassador Korologos was a journalist with the New York Herald Tribune, the Long Island Press, the Salt Lake Tribune and the Associated Press.
