Invitational Concert with Voices in Harmony October 24, 2009

the Santa Clara Chorale opens their season with new music director Ryan James Brandau in collaboration with Voices in Harmony. Voices in Harmony is an award-winning a cappella chorus of ninety-plus men. It was formed in 2006 from the merger of two existing choruses. It is run by a non-profit corporation organized as the Bay Area chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). However, the chorus repertoire extends far beyond traditional barbershop music, encompassing pop, contemporary, jazz, and traditional choral music. The Chorale will complement their own program of show tune and popular favorites with a spectacular selection of American and British folk songs, spirituals, and show tune favorites. The concert will conclude with a selection sung by the combined ensembles.
