Seminar Description: A comprehensive, carefully considered business plan is essential for starting, maintaining, and growing a successful small business. Banks or other lending sources, including the Small Business Administration, require a persuasive, strategically sound business plan from those seeking funding. Creating a business plan also is an excellent way for business owners to formulate goals and monitor progress toward achieving them. Many prospective and new business owners are intimidated by the challenge of putting together a business plan. This seminar’s systematic examination of techniques used in business plan writing eliminates the “fear factor” and reveals just how useful – and essential – a business plan is in mapping a strategy for success. This seminar covers an explanation of resources, content, and factors to include in writing your business plan and it will describe the components of a business plan, including expository and financial portions. Attendees will also learn what lenders are looking for in a business plan as they consider whether or not to lend or, in the case of the SBA, guarantee the loan.
