Sally Gibson's book More Than an Island: A History of the Toronto Island was commended by Jane Jacobs as being "city history at its very best." She is now a heritage consultant in Toronto with a special interest in the Distillery District.

Geoffrey James
Canada

Geoffrey James has worked as a photographer since 1970. He has had solo exhibitions around the world and his work has been featured in several books. In 2002 he was awarded both the Roloff Beny Prize for photography and the Gershon Iskowitz Prize for lifetime achievement in the visual arts. Born in Wales and educated at Oxford, he now lives in Toronto.

Marco Polo
Canada

Marco Polo is an architect and Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Science at Ryerson University in Toronto. He has published extensively on architecture and design and was editor of Canadian Architect magazine from 1997 to 2003.
