VSA arts has commissioned acclaimed director and artist Ping Chong to create “Inside/Out…voices from the disability community,” a world premiere theatrical production coming to the Kennedy Center’s Family Theater from June 27-29. This oral history production explores first-hand experiences of the disability community through personal narratives. Their histories are interwoven into a script that is performed by the participants themselves, giving voice to individuals whose stories frequently go unheard. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. June 27-28, and at 2 p.m. June 29. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the Kennedy Center’s Box Office at (800) 444-1324 or TTY (202) 416-8524, or online at www.kennedy-center.org. The Kennedy Center is located at 2700 F Street, NW, Washington, D.C. For more information, please call (202) 628-2800 or visit www.vsarts.org.
