PORTLAND, Ore.-Information Society, the synth-pop legends, from the late 1980s and early 1990s, announce their first West Coast concert in over ten years. The band will perform in Portland, Oregon, at the Crystal Ballroom on Saturday, July 29, 2006.

In 1986, Information Society released the song "Running," which became an enduring club classic, firmly establishing Information Society among the godfathers of Electro.

Since then, Information Society has had numerous Top Ten and Top Forty hits, including the number one smash "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)," and more than 10 appearances in Billboard's Top Ten dance charts including "Walking Away," "Think," and "Peace and Love, Inc."
