Speaker: Clifford Lynch, I School and CNI

There has been a lot of discussion about interactive exhibitions and interactive collections, particularly in the context of so-called Web 2.0 services. I will make the argument that these are relatively trivial examples of a much more complex set of challenges that are arising as cultural memory organizations interact with the public through exhibitions and collections; I'll provide some examples and raise a number of research problems that might be explored.
