This 4 miler is meant to inspire you to set off (or at least watch) fireworks, barbecue everything in site, and leave you pursuing happiness and apple pie.

Chase down speedy red t-shirted runners to gather coupons for a raffle after the race. Useful and patriotic prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female competitors.

The New York Times calls Independence Dash, "the way any real American should prepare for the Fourth of July" (or at least they should).

Register on RaceIt.com for $15, or on race day for $20.
