The community is invited to join together to view and discuss local public television station KBTC's newest documentary "In My Time of Dying," a one-hour journey that explores the way Americans approach the end of life. Following the documentary, a panel of team members from Providence hospice organizations will be available to answer questions and help navigate this sensitive journey.

"In My Time of Dying" is an intimate conversation with five people who are facing the questions and realities about the end of life. Mixed with the thoughts and clinical perspectives of doctors and caregivers, these individuals share their personal journeys toward understanding and accepting life's inevitable end.

During our lives we develop plans for important life cycle events - education, career, weddings, birthdays and vacations. These are carefully plotted to take full advantage of available resources. Yet, the one inevitable event of death often remains ignored - a distant shadow from which we avert our gaze. What is it about death that makes this confrontation so difficult?"

"In My Time of Dying" is a unique and important conversation about how we meet death, how we support our loved ones in their time of dying, how we cultivate hope in these times, and how to engage in conversations that seem too painful to broach.

The "In My Time of Dying" screenings will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on
Thursday July 14 at Providence Hospice of Seattle, Suite 300
425 Pontius Avenue N, Seattle, WA
It is sponsored by Providence Hospice of Seattle.
