John Banville described the writing of Imre Kertesz, the winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Literature, as "a profound meditation on the great and enduring themes of love, death and the problem of evil." Mr. Kertesz's many novels include FATELESS, KADDISH FOR A CHILD NOT BORN, LIQUIDATION, DETECTIVE STORY and K. DOSSZIE.
