Artist Michael Benson and Nancy Chabot, a planetary geologist from the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, will explain how they use data from interplanetary probes by NASA and the European Space Agency for their work in art and science.

The discussion will be followed by a reception and an opportunity to view Benson's Planetfall, an exhibit of planetary landscapes produced by digitally enhancing data from interplanetary probes.

The event is free and open to the public, though space is limited. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP at http://planetfallexhibitopener.eventbrite.com.
