Illusion 2 - dances through a glass landscape February 1, 2008

Takami & MoBu Dance Group invites you to the delicate and surprising world of "Illusion 2", an environmental installation whereupon glass, sound, and movement are synthesized into a powerful sensory theatrical experience. Audiences are led through a wonderland where luminous glass sculptures float in space while dancers appear and disappear in and out of the darkness. Each element - glass sculpture, environmental sound, and movement signifies the mystery and emotional power of optical phenomena. "Illusion 2" was created by Takami (choreographer), glass artist Kana Tanaka, and sound designer Jorge Bachmann and produced in association with the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center.
