Kenneth B. Medlock will speak on the Presidential Candidates' Energy Positions and Energy Industry Outlook

Mr. Medlock is a Fellow in Energy Studies at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Rice University.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Kenneth B. Medlock is a Fellow in Energy Studies at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Rice University. He is the leader of the Energy Forum's natural gas program, and a principal in the development of the Rice World Natural Gas Trade Model. Medlock's research covers a wide range of topics in energy economics and policy, economic development and energy demand, forecasting energy demand, and energy use and the environment. Recently, he has analyzed the energy policies being debated within the congress and by the presidential candidates.

Prior to returning to Rice, Medlock held the position of Corporate Consultant at El Paso Energy Corporation, where he was responsible for fundamental analysis of North American natural gas, petroleum, and power markets. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from Rice University.
