Theori Media, producers of the critically acclaimed play, “I Still Love H.E.R. (atributetohiphop),” in response to the recent tragedy in Haiti, has announced an initiative to donate 100 percent of the season’s opening show to the Yele Foundation.

The performance will be at 8 p.m., Feb. 26 at the Chicago Theater for the Performing Arts, 777 N Green St., Chicago. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at www.thetheori.com or at the theater box office, 312-733-6000. Ticket sales for this show are tax-deductible.

Since its opening night in January 2009, the underground sensation, “I Still Love H.E.R. (atributetohiphop),” has exploded into a mainstream powerhouse, generating stellar reviews and sold-out performances. Written by Chicagoan and Chicago State University alumnus, Wendell Tucker, and choreographed by Jeremy Noah, this sociological musical takes the audience on an insightful tour down memory lane, while taking time to examine conditions and events that gave birth to the cultural phenomena known as Hip-Hop.
