The Wind Band, A growing force in Twenty First Century Music

The Highlands Ranch Concert Band presents The Wind Band, A growing force in Twenty First Century Music, their first free concert of 2012, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 29 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 3350 White Bay Dr. Highlands Ranch, CO.

The program includes San Antonio Dances for Concert Band and Vesuvius for Concert Band, both by Frank Ticheli, who has a number of compositions that are particularly notable, as they have become standards in concert band repertoire. Arabesque by Samuel R. Hazo, The Trombone King by Karl King and many more exciting pieces made for the “Sit Down Band”.

Highlands Ranch Concert Band is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteer professional, amateur and high school musicians that provides free performances throughout the year, promoting an educational experience for musicians and the community through music, arts, entertainment, and cultural opportunities.
