How does light affect your internal body clock? Does getting older affect your body's ability to keep time? Discuss with Professor Debra Skene how disorders arise in your body clock, and how they can be treated, particularly in blind and visually impaired people.

Professor Debra Skene is Professor of Neuroendocrinology at University of Surrey. Her research focusses on the investigation of the causes, consequences and treatment of circadian rhythm disorders.

Café Scientifique events aim to provide a forum for the debate of scientific ideas. Free and open for all to attend, join scientists and other specialists to explore current issues in science over a drink. Audience participation is strongly encouraged.

This event is free to attend, doors open at 6pm and admission is on a first come, first served basis. Food and drink will be available to purchase from 6pm until 7.30pm.
