For this edition, we welcome (finally!) one of our favorite people, an incredibly talented producer and DJ, Mr. Jonny Cruz. Hailing from Puerto Rico, Miami, UK, and Berlin... a real citizen of the world... the man brings talent to everything that he does. He's been spending a lot of time making music with Housepitality founder Michael Tello and production partner Ray Zuniga, and has a track featured on the first release from Touch Of Class Records, Mikey's new label. In addition to his quality production work, his DJ talents are formidable. On the decks, he will blow your minds. Trust. Some of us here at Housepitality (Luke, especially) have been waiting a long time to welcome him into our home. That time has finally come.

Support comes from our friend Benjamin Vallery. Ben, a friend to underground house music in SF, LA, and beyond, has been playing banging sets in warehouses, open fields, and clubs all over California for many years. He has supported us for a very long time, and his (long overdue) Housepitality debut is finally at hand. His warehouse-ready sound has to be heard to be believed, and if you haven't heard him play, you've missed a treat. This is the perfect lineup to showcase his talents.

Opening the night, Housepitality/Acid Test resident Bai-ee will once again showcase his Chicago-trained sound. Bai-ee plays a jackin' set, but is also an accomplished producer of house music. Get here early and don't miss this chance to hear him play a longer, more diverse opening set.

Finally, Michael Tello, the Housepitality founder, will be holding things down in the Groove Lounge, as only he can.

Jonny Cruz

Born in San Juan Puerto Rico in the beginning of the eighties.
Jonny Cruz has been involved with electronic music since an early age. His first steps as an "act" go back to 2001 when he became a drum & bass MC for Puerto Rico's local drum & bass scene, shortly thereafter he started producing drum & bass and released several tracks under the moniker IDENTITY with his music partners: Dstruct, BTK & Korosiv. In 2008 he moved to Budapest and played at some of the best clubs around Europe. In late 2008 he found himself needing a change from drum & bass. Being a house and techno fan since the late nineties, it only felt natural to take the next necessary step on to producing 4 on 4 structures. Fast forward to present times Jonny has been featured so far on labels such as: COCOON RECORDINGS, VAKANT, SERIALISM, DIGITAL DELIGHT, SOUL FOOLED and his home MY FAVORITE ROBOT. He has material coming out this year on several labels, including collaborations with different artists such as Alex Niggemann, Tolga Fidan, Cesare vs. Disorder, Inxec Sierra Sam & Marcus Vector amongst others.
