Honour Bi Legend Robyn Ochs and Help PFLAG Help Our Youth & Families February 5, 2012

The Queens NYC Chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) invites everyone to come share the love with us at our Annual Awards Luncheon and Fund Raiser on the afternoon of Sunday February 5th 2012 at Joe Abbracciamento Restaurant located at 62-96 Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park Queens. 

At the Luncheon we will be presenting our Annual Awards to a wonderful group of Hard Working Dedicated Community Activists. This year our Honorees are: 

♥ Hon. Daniel Dromm NYC Council Member District 25 and Mr. Michael Serao will both be receiving this year's "Morty Manford Memorial Award";

♥ Mrs. Kathleen and Mr. Stanley Rygor, long-time Gay Rights & AIDS Activists (parents of the late LGBTQ+ Activist and ACT UP spokesperson Robert Rygor) will be receiving this year's "Carmel Tavadia Memorial Award";



♥ Ms. Robyn Ochs Bisexual Activist, Author and Speaker will be receiving this year's "Brenda Howard Memorial Award".  Robyn is a professional speaker and workshop leader, award-winning activist, and the editor of the 42-country anthology, Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World now in it's 2nd edition. Her writings have been published in numerous bi, women's studies, multicultural, and GLBT anthologies.  

An advocate for the rights of people of ALL orientations and genders to live safely, openly and with full legal equality, Robyn’s work focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of complex identities, and mobilizing people to be powerful allies to one another within and across identities and social movements.

So please come out and have a good time, honor some deserving folks and raise some much needed funds for PFLAG an organization that continues to do so much for our LGBT Youth, their Family's and our Community.
