'Honoring our Mothers' event to celebrate mothers who have died May 8, 2010

Providence Hospice of Seattle presents "Honoring our Mothers," an event to celebrate the lives of mothers who have died. Through group interaction, program participants will meet on Saturday May 8, 2010 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to recognize, remember and value their mothers and the experiences that have shaped their lives.

This free event features keynote speaker Gerri Haynes, RN, a palliative care consultant and grief bereavement educator. For the past 20 years, Haynes has facilitated a support group for mothers whose children have died. She has provided educational seminars for hospice personnel and health care students.
