Hollywood Farmers' Market Voter Registration and Volunteer Recruitment October 12, 2008

The voter registration table at the Hollywood Farmers' Market is an ongoing event every Sunday from 7:30-1:30PM. We have two Sundays left before the voter registration deadline: October 12 and October 19. Volunteers work in two-hour shifts with several others to register new voters, help them update their registration, sell Obama swag, and encourage voters to join our volunteer efforts. We set up a canopy and table, sell buttons and bumper stickers, and help get the word out about the Obama campaign to the Hollywood community. It's fun and relatively easy, and after your shift you can shop for vegetables! IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) Because attendance is limited, we count on everyone who signs up to show up for their shift. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT NOT ATTEND. 2) PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER IN THE COMMENT BOX HERE after you sign up, or email it to [email protected]. That way we can speak with you before the event to confirm your attendance, and volunteers will be able to find each other the day of the event. 3) Please indicate if you are available to assist with transporting the table/chairs/canopy/merchandise to the first shift (7:30AM) or at the end of the day (1:30). If you would like to participate but live closer to West Hollywood, consider doing a shift at our new location at the Grove (for the Grove voter registration event, please contact Linda Poverny at [email protected]).
