This November 4th, stand in solidarity with the 1.6 million rape victims – men, women and children – of the DRC. Raise awareness and raise money to support them by standing for 1 hour for every 100 000 people.

While you're standing, paint on some blue lips to show the world you are Standing and Shouting this HollerDay.

HollerDay is not a standard awareness raising campaign or boring old fund raising event.

HollerDay combines both awareness raising and fund raising—because both are needed equally if we are going to make the lives of people in the Congo better.

HollerDay challenges you to get out of your comfort zone and make as much noise as possible. Grab a megaphone. Sing. Poetry slam. Dance. HOLLER! The more people know about the terrible injustices in the DRC, coined "the rape capital of the world", the more can and will be done about it.

HollerDay challenges you to raise money. Get your friends, family or even strangers in the street to support your HOLLERING efforts. More than just awareness is needed—money is necessary to fund projects that directly help the victims and survivors in the DRC. We know you can Talk the Talk. But you have to Walk the Talk too. All funds raised will support jhr's (Journalists for Human Rights) work in the Congo, aimed at educating locals, amplifying their voices through media development, and putting pressure on the highest levels of organizations to take action.
