From the moment guests enter the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s native plant garden, they will enjoy thousands of holiday lights and displays, including a walk along a specially lit trail that will commence with a hayride and caroling. Enjoy festive activities such as a Christmas tree lighting, thousands of twinkling lights along the Dinosaurs Alive! nature trail, live entertainment in the Heard’s outdoor amphitheater, and complimentary hot beverages (courtesy of Preservation Tree Service). Kids of all ages are in for a special surprise as they happen upon Father Christmas and Mother Nature, waiting in a festively decorated log cabin along the trail. Guests can pose for a professional photo available for purchase online after the event.

Check out the Heard’s Artisan’s Market for perfect nature-inspired holiday gifts and décor. The Heard Artisan’s Market will be open not only during the Holiday Trail of Lights two-night event, but also during museum hours on Saturday, December 19. Merchants to-date will sell handmade books, Christmas ornaments and cards, ceramics, photographs, wildfowl carvings, honey, Indian art, and gourds. Many merchants will also feature unique jewelry, including hand-carved, bone, inspirational, beaded, semi-precious and precious stones.

Tickets available November 27th online, in store, or at the door. Holiday Trail of Lights tickets make a thoughtful, unique, inexpensive gift for family, friends, or co-workers!
