–SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES–

WORKSHOPS:

3-6PM: Brooke Singer & Stefani Bardin – The Counter Kitchen
In The Counter Kitchen (TCK) we will be turning things upside down from the inside-out. Science and marketing have made product labels nearly impossible to decode. Learn how to reverse engineer your favorite food, personal care and household products using TCK tools and measurement systems. We will simultaneously turn you into a translator, detective, chemist and cook. Stop by to take a whiff, stay a while to help us in the kitchen or bring a product for us to explore.

3-6PM: Ted Southern – Rotocast Aviary
The Rotocast Aviary allows users to create their own hollow-formed bird figures. Using your choice of 8 sculpted bird molds based on classic glass ornaments, one can learn about the basics of rotational casting and take home a unique handmade holiday decoration.

4-6PM: Dustyn Roberts – Make Your Own Moustrap Powered Car
Learn to build one of the projects featured in Dustyn’s new book, Making Things Move, using the torsion spring in a mousetrap to store energy to power a small car. Build your own car, then race it in the Grand Prix at 6PM!

GAMES & INTERACTIVE INSTALLATIONS:

3-9PM: Kaho Abe – Ninja Shadow Warrior
Ninja Shadow Warrior is an arcade style photo game designed by fellow Kaho Abe. Players are challenged to use their bodies to fill in the shadow of an object. The more players, the more success! Accuracy is measured with a webcam and infrared LEDs, and scores are kept on a leader board. Photos of players in action are captured mid-pose and posted online for future fun.

3-9PM: David Jimison & Esther Cheung – Shrine of Native Rites for the Electric Winter

3-9PM: Aaron Meyers – 3.fram.es

4-5:30PM: Kaho Abe – Mary Mack 5000
Mary Mack 5000 is a fast-paced, competitive, technologically enhanced twist on the classic schoolyard hand clapping game. Strap on your special MM5000 gloves and show off your speed, accuracy, and style. Have an exclusive sneak peak at the new vest controllers that we’ve been working on. Now there are more levels available — which means more fun!

6PM: Dustyn Roberts – Moustrap Powered Car Grand Prix
Learn to build one of the projects featured in Dustyn’s new book, Making Things Move, using the torsion spring in a mousetrap to store energy to power a small car. Build your own car, then race it in the Grand Prix at 6PM!
