Las Cruces, NM – The February 11 “History Notes” program will focus on the Doña Ana Bend Colony Land Grant. Major topics will be an overview of the founding families and elements of the land grant that remain today. Staff will also address the platting of Las Cruces within the original land grant. "History Notes” are informal discussions focusing on local and regional history lead by staff and volunteers on the second Thursday of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Branigan Cultural Center.

The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. All programs are free and open to the public.
