Hinrich Alpers performs The Story of Babar October 5, 2008

Honens and the Calgary Public Library partner to bring narrated works to family audiences across Calgary. Hinrich Alpers, Laureate of the 2006 Honens International Piano Competition, and narrator tell the tale of Babar, a young elephant who leaves the jungle to discover a new life in the city. Jean de Brunhoff’s children’s classic comes alive with music by Francis Poulenc.
