Our female only hikes are FOR women and LEAD by women! Expand your girlfriend circle by meeting up with local, young women who enjoy the outdoors.

Are you ready to breathe in the Fall air? Then GET OUT and join us for this moderate hike in the beautiful Norvin Green State Forest. "This loop hike passes by an old iron mine and climbs to an outstanding 360 degree viewpoint from which the New York City skyline can be seen." PLUS you will get to meet other young, female professionals who enjoy the outdoors.

Specs:
The hike is classified as moderate and is about 3 miles long.
The hike should take 2.5 hours.
As with all hikes you must be in good, athletic shape.

$5 for the first 10

Non-Member Cost:
$20 online and at the door

Tickets:
There are a limited number of Tickets for sale. Tickets are not mailed, but your name will be kept at the door. Actual hike is subject to change depending on weather conditions, fallen trees, etc. All sales are final.

Sweeper:
If our hiking group is large we might look for 2 volunteers to act as sweepers. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.

Hike Leader:
Jenn will be leading this hike.

What to bring:
Hiking boots and water (both required).
Snacks, a light lunch, etc.
Toilet paper, tissues, plastic bags for garbage, etc.

Inclement Weather:
Heavy precipitation will cancel this hike; drizzle will not. Please check your inbox for updates and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refunded.

Directions:
Take Skyline Drive to its northwestern end at Greenwood Lake Turnpike (County Route 511). Turn left and proceed south for 1.6 miles to West Brook Road. Turn right onto West Brook Road and cross the Wanaque Reservoir on a narrow causeway. At the next T junction, turn left, then take the second left onto Snake Den Road, following signs to the Weis Ecology Center. In 0.3 mile, bear left at a fork, and continue for another 0.3 mile to a large dirt parking area on the right side of the road, just before the entrance to the Weis Ecology Center.
