HIGHWAY TIGERS -- Photographs by Alissa Anderson October 15, 2005

Photographs by Alissa Anderson will be on display at Record Collector from Oct. 15th until Nov 6th. Alissa is a member of the band Vetiver and spent the summer on tour with Vetiver and Devendra Banhart & Hairy Fairy in Europe. An exhibit of images from her travels, ?Highways Tigers? documents the many aspects of tour usually not seen by the public: moments inside the van, stopping at gas stations, waiting at clubs, and spending time with fellow musicians. Her third solo exhibition in San Francisco, her work has previously been seen at The Lab, New Langton Arts, and Adobe Books, and her photographs have been published in such magazines as Spin, RES, XLR8R, Time Out, and Venus. www.mittenmaker.com
