"Heroes for Autism" April 19, 2009

Autism Speaks, the cast from NBC’s hit show HEROES, the celebrity band “Band From TV,” and “Wendy and Lisa” have teamed up to increase autism awareness and help raise funds for autism research at the first ever HEROES FOR AUTISM fundraiser. Emceed by Rainn Wilson, the one-night only star-studded event will kick-off with a VIP cocktail reception and silent auction featuring artwork designed and created by the cast and crew of HEROES, alongside artwork from 12 of the world’s most celbrated artists with autism. Guests will then enjoy a concert performance by the “Band From TV,” featuring Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar, Hugh Laurie, James Denton, and Bob Guiney. Wendy & Lisa will headline the evening with an all-star band, including Nikka Costa and Sheryl Crow. Plus some very special surprise guests! They will perform their music from the series, as well as music from their newly-released CD, “White Flags of Winter Chimneys.”

All the proceeds from the evening’s event will be donated to Autism Speaks.
