“here: remembering 9/11” features a selection of photographs from the “here is new york: a democracy of photographs” exhibition, which formally opened to the public in New York City on September 25, 2001, as well as additional photographs commissioned for the 5th anniversary. The exhibit draws from an unprecedented and innovative exhibition experience which enabled a traumatized community and nation to mourn, respond, document, and move towards healing in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.
