Go green with Hedda Lettuce as she hosts her own comedy/variety show Tossed Salad at Comix on Wednesday, April 23rd at 8:00 PM. Not your garden variety gay comedy show, Hedda hosts a mix of performers including the musical duo Mel and El, Julie Goldman from "The Big Gay Sketch Show", Shawn Hollenbach and a special appearance by porn impresario Michael Lucas!

Don’t miss out as Hedda puts her own twist on Oprah’s giveaways with free prizes for everyone in the audience! There is also a chance to flex your “acting muscle” (amongst other things), and audition to appear as an extra in Michael Lucas’ next adult film.

Hedda Lettuce, the six-time Drag Queen of the Year Award-winner HX magazine, has received national acclaim for her poised characters, startling satire and original music. Hedda lures you into the funniest scenarios on stage with her ultra-candid, shimmering wit.
Mel and El - If Bette Midler, Carol Burnett and Roz Russell all got drunk and did it, Melanie Adelman and Ellie Dvorkin would be the result. Their show Mel & El: This Show Rhymes has been featured in the Village Voice, Metro, and AM New York.
In 1998, Michael Lucas opened his own production company, Lucas Entertainment, in New York City. Later that year, he made his directorial debut with the well-received Back in the Saddle. This first production sparked the Michael Lucas "renegade" vision that is indelibly New York. Lucas Entertainment is dedicated to mainstreaming gay lifestyles & emphasizing the importance of beauty in sexual expression. The company's trademark is their attention to high fashion.
Julie Goldman co-stars on The Big Gay Sketch Show on LOGO where she is a member of the first ever gay sketch comedy show. Julie’s stand-up Live at Gotham also appears on Comedy Central. This past year, Goldman co-starred in Big Dreams in Little Hope which is currently being offered at Wolfe Video. Julie also has a role in Out at the Wedding, which is currently playing at film festivals around the country.
Shawn Hollebach is a stand up comedian, improv actor and songwriter. Shawn is a co-producer of the Mintyfresh family of shows, currently the new Back Room at Ochi's Lounge at Comix. You can also see him live in the, The Kevin Murphy Show as the lovable Jodi Murphy. Hollenbach has also written and performed in his one-man show, Shawn Hollen...Who?, directed by Virginia Scott.
