Let the World Know that Climate Change Matters to You!

Saturday, February 3, the night before the Super Bowl
across from Dolphin Stadium (between N.W. 199th Street and NW 203rd Street

5 pm, people will start gathering

5 p.m.- 6 p.m. we will hold positive “Heal the Climate” signs

6:07 pm we will light hurricane candles as a symbol of hope
The event will break up by 7 pm

Strategy:

Media from around the world will be here for the Super Bowl. It is important to take advantage of this opportunity to send a powerful message of hope from the people of South Florida about healing the climate.



Saturday, February 3, the night before the Super Bowl, at 5 pm, people will start gathering north and south on the northwest sidewalk of NW 27th Avenue, across from Dolphin Stadium (between N.W. 199th Street and NW 203rd Street- map and directions below). Parking is behind the Hess Station, some construction, and behind Denny’s on the west side just south of 199th. Across the street is a new Wal-Mart. From 5 p.m.- 6 p.m. we will hold positive “Heal the Climate” signs (see suggestions below).

At 6:07 pm, sunset, we will light hurricane candles as a symbol of hope. Hope that the human family working together will create solutions to Global Warming. The hurricane candle is also a reminder that South Florida sits in the middle of a hurricane zone. The event will break up by 7 pm.



Things to bring

Bring Hurricane candles, a lighter, and only positive signs. Consider bringing a flashlight.
