Are you afraid of the dark? Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council’s Camp Big Timer, 37W955 Big Timber Road in Elgin, will present “Haunted Hike: Trail of Terror” on October 16-17 and October 23-24, Fridays - 7:00pm - 11:00pm and Saturdays - 6:30pm - 11:00pm.

For the 19th year, Scouts will present a ¾ mile established trail that comes alive with two new scare stops added to the chilling scene this year; "Cave of Ghouls" and "Tunnel of Doom." The event is open to the public and admission is $10.00. Admission is $7.00 for Scouts (boys and girls) wearing their uniforms. The event will offer attractions for young and old alike. Food and beverages are available to purchase from Mr. Beef & Gyros of St. Charles and Pizza Cuccina of South Elgin. Parking is free.

We also offer a “Kiddie Hike” on Saturday, October 24 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm ($6.00 admission) for younger fans of Halloween and those frail at heart. Kids walk and visit scenes on the same trail as guests attending the night time hikes, however the staff manning the scenes during the Kiddie Hike will not attempt to frighten the kids and candy is passed out along the trail.

The Haunted Hike began in October of 1990 and records over 5,000 attendees from all around the Chicagoland area. For more information please visit www.tfchauntedhike.org
