Sponsored by the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Northern California, this landmark workshop is the first of many to bring best practices in career development from the top business schools to the Bay Area. This workshop will bring fresh insights for all those in career transition, whether that means switching roles, changing companies, or a more drastic career change. On-rampers welcomed.

Our inaugural event will be a workshop based on the work of Harvard Business School Fellow, Dr. Timothy Butler, who is the Director of Career Development Programs at HBS. The 100 Jobs Exercise is a process designed to elicit career and life themes. The process is uniquely powerful in the way it illuminates an individual's latent core interests, as well as in how it brings together the members of each break-out group. The ability of this exercise to unite a group in the purpose of uncovering what a fulfilling career means to each individual, has led prior participants to describe it as transformational, life-changing, and empowering.

About the Speaker:
Sasha Grinshpun, MBA 2002, works with top tier organizations, including Google and Harvard Business School, as well as with talented individuals to unlock their human potential. Sasha specializes in high-impact team and individual workshops in career development, team dynamics, and leadership development.

Her eclectic backgrounds spans multiple roles and industries across four continents. Sasha has worked as an international management consultant at Monitor Group, innovation consultant with IDEO, VP of Business Development and Sales at a start-up (whose office used to be Janis Joplin's old apartment), and, now, as a high-impact facilitator and executive coach.

While getting her MBA at Harvard Business School, Sasha launched a breakthrough campus-wide peer-to-peer coaching program, called Career Teams, that continues to thrive on campus and has been described as a differentiating factor for the school. Before moving to the Bay Area, Sasha served as the President for the HBS Alumni Club of Austin and was elected to the Board of Leadership Austin. She was recently invited to be a coach for current MBA students at HBS as part of the their reknowned career coaching program.

Other projects prior to Sasha's twelve-year career in business have included conducting genetics research as part of the Human Genome project and writing documentary scripts for National Geographic Television. She graduated from HBS (MBA) and from Yale University (BA in Economics & International Studies). Sasha is fluent in Russian and Portuguese, as well as Spanish, especially on Latin dance nights.
