This year’s Hartlepool Maritime Festival welcomes an exciting associated event in the form of a series of activities to mark Veterans Day. Visitors to this year’s event can expect to see thrilling live military displays, recruitment stands, plus other MoD assets from all the armed forces. Local school children are playing an important part in the celebrations and the results from an arts project on this theme will be on display.

Hartlepool veterans will also be taking part in an intergenerational project in which they will be visiting school children throughout the town to tell of their individual experiences in the service. This includes a school art competition, exhibition and interactive workshop.
