Harlem Speaks: Greg Bandy, Drummer July 10, 2008

Drummer Greg Bandy was discovered by Charles Mingus at the of age 20. He has played with a plethora of prominent jazz artists over the last thirty-plus years. He produces "Bandy Does Blakey," a tribute to one of his mentors, the late Art Blakey, and often reunites former members of Blakey's Jazz Messengers. He fronts a regular band at St. Nick's Pub in Harlem. He's got many a hip tale to tell, so don't miss this chance!
