Forming from the ashes of several other Big Apple industrial bands -- with a lineup including programmer and guitarist Lupia, vocalist Vas Kallas, bassist Ginger Bread and drummer Pat Wolff -- Hanzel Und Gretyl first appeared on a compilation called 'COP International Chaos.' New York's Energy Records signed the band for their debut album, 'Ausgeflippt,' released in 1995. They've appearing on several dates with Marilyn Manson in addition to their own US tours. Though based in New York, Hanzel Und Gretyl sing their trance/industrial tracks mostly in German, following in the steps of Die Warzau and Einsturzende Neubauten.
