Hands On Gourmet is teaming up with Eatwell Farm to bring you CSA: Out of the Box. This workshop is designed to encourage a creative approach to cooking with seasonal produce while supporting local producers through Community Supported Agriculture. Whether you are a seasoned cook or a novice, this workshop is for you!

Eatwell Farm will provide the same produce (picked just the day before) that will be included in their July 22 deliveries. Eatwell Farm’s Nigel Walker will be in attendance to talk about his farm. HOG will have knowledgeable chefs on hand to help you develop a menu based on the ingredients provided, as well as a pantry of staple items to cook with. You will work together to create a 4-course meal, including an appetizer, an entrée, a main, and a dessert. Cooking time will last about 1 ½ -2 hours and the remaining time will be for feasting on the delicious creations of the group. Recipes will be available after the workshop to recreate the same dishes at home.

Eatwell Farm is a 65-acre organic farm in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California and has been farming organically in Northern California since 1993. All the land is certified organic by California Certifeid Organic Farmers (CCOF). They grow hundreds of different crops, and usually several of each in order to allow for a constant harvest for their CSA. For more information click on: http://www.eatwell.com/
