Perhaps more than any other of the plays by William Shakespeare, 'Hamlet' is pure theater. It is the story of a young man whose father, the king, has died. A very short time later his mother marries his uncle. The ghost of his father appears to Hamlet and proclaims that he was murdered. Hamlet must then decide what he is going to do and how far he is willing to go to avenge his father.
