Grab a blanket and a picnic dinner, and bring your family to hear FREE music in the park! A performance of Desert, Forest, Tundra a continuing collaboration with renown Alaskan composer, John Luther Adams, will be staged August 31, 2007 within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and performed by the Akron Percussion Collective under the direction of Gustavo Aguilar. Aguilar is known locally for his widely acclaimed work as Music Director of David Shimotakahara’s GroundWorks Dancetheater. Special guest, Rob Esler.

The celebration begins with lawn games and activities for families and friends. Bring a Frisbee or a kite! Presented by CVNPA and GroundWorks Dancetheater with promotional support by WKSU 89.7 FM. Alcohol is prohibited. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. Concert begins at 6:30 pm at the Ledges Shelter. Rain location is Happy Days Visitor Center. (Maps.)
