Coakley blends rock and R&B with influences of jazz and funk. Coakley started his solo career in the fall of 2010 when he began work on a two-song EP released that winter. As interest in his work grew, Coakley began work on his debut album, Drowning, released in the summer of 2011.
Relocating to Boston, Coakley quickly assembled a backing band and began rehearsals for live performances, He soon released Live from the Creek, a four-part video performance with guitarist Alex Palazzo. During this time Coakley wrote and began preproduction on four new songs to be recorded in early 2012. Coakley is currently focusing on showcasing his band through out the North East to promote his new music.
